Ted Bundy Tapes review
I’ve been watching the Ted Bundy Tapes recently I’ve watched all episodes in the series, all episodes are 55+ minutes. First let me stop and say I’ve enjoyed the Doc series, but for sake of review I’ll pick at it. There’s a few things that really nag at me, first being some of evidence they purpose. I have an issue when they are building the case against Ted and they pull evidence from, more than one of the abductions, and they use dialogue from the conversation Ted had with the victim as evidence. How do you take conversation from someone who is dead and one who would never have talked about himself in a guilty perspective? You can’t use evidence from a conversation which wasn’t documented to try and persuade your audience against someone, they do this because I think they know that a lot of the audience wouldn’t be that focused on it. But besides that small slip in the series it’s all pretty coherent. One other small slip up was sometimes I feel like they diced the audio recordings of Bundy to manipulate the audience based on the audio waves and static sometimes sounding inconsistent. When you dig deep into the film it’s really well put together and the B-roll is super impressive. Since I am a cinema student it really impressed me because I knew they B roll wasn’t a flick of what they were actually saying, but it made you feel as if that’s how good it was. But definite watch if you’re mentally insane and love digging deep into the mystery of cereal killers.
